Incarnation Academy Welcomes Lindsey Byers as Next Head of School

On behalf of Bishop Brewer, Interim Rector, and the Vestry of Church of the Incarnation, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Lindsey Byers as the next Head of School at Incarnation Academy. Lindsey will officially begin her work on January 5, 2026, and will be introduced to the community before she begins.

A Message from Lindsey Byers, Head of School-Elect

My family and I are so excited to join your preschool community!

Joining me are my husband, Kurt, and our three children, Lou, who loves animals and exploring outside; Sutton, who enjoys coloring and crafting; and Hollis, who would play dress-up all day if she could.

We can’t wait to meet our new IA friends and teachers, and to be part of this wonderful community. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly. We’re eager to begin this new chapter together.

Lindsey brings to Incarnation Academy a wealth of experience in early childhood education and school leadership. Most recently, she served as Head of School for Guidepost Montessori, leading a community of more than 200 students and 45 staff members. Under her leadership, the school thrived with a culture grounded in teacher development, parent engagement, and mission-aligned growth.

Before her current role, Lindsey held positions as Director of Curriculum and Director of Quality & Education, following nearly a decade in the classroom teaching students in grades K–3. Her deep understanding of child development and faculty support has been a hallmark of her leadership.

Beyond her educational experience, Lindsey has served for 13 years in the U.S. Army Reserves, where she has led and trained soldiers, cultivating the skills of accountability, discipline, and team readiness that she carries into her work in schools.

Lindsey earned her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University (TCU) and her M.S. in Teaching and Learning from Colorado State University. She and her husband, Kurt, met at TCU and share a love for the Horned Frogs. Together, they have three children - Lou, Sutton, and Hollis, who are excited to become part of the Incarnation Academy family. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys gardening, antiquing, and trying new foods.
