About

ST. THOMAS OF AQUINAS
DALLAS, TX

Established in September 1947, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School is now the largest PreK-8 school not only in the Catholic Diocese of Dallas but also in the state of Texas. The School had humble beginnings serving as an extension to the families of the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Known initially as Sacred Heart School #2, St. Thomas Aquinas opened its doors with 250 students in four classrooms with the Sisters of Divine Providence as the first teaching Order at the school. Today, the School serves approximately 550 families and maintains an enrollment of nearly 900 students.

Position

For more than 75 years, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School has provided Catholic families in its community an exceptional, faith-based education for their children. Under the outstanding, two-decade leadership of the School’s current President, the School has flourished and grown to 882 students and has expanded to two distinct campuses. With a recent strategic plan in place, the 2026 Self Study in the works, and a capital campaign on the horizon, the School now looks towards its future.  A new window of opportunity also opens to the future as St. Thomas Aquinas now seeks a President to be the executive leader and visionary who will take the School into its next chapter of excellence and growth.  The torch burns brightly and is ready to be passed on to the School’s future leader.
