Santa Clara Catholic Academy was founded in fall 1994 by Bishop Charles V. Grahmann and the Presbyteral Council. Since then, it has served local children, many from low-income families. Today, the school enrolls 133 students, most of whom go on to Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Dallas.

Position

Santa Clara Catholic Academy is seeking an experienced, confident and dynamic principal who has proven success in an educational environment, preferably a Catholic elementary school. Above all, they must be a person of unquestionable integrity with a deep commitment to the Catholic faith. The principal has the responsibility for the School’s overall management and leads the development, implementation and monitoring of an exceptional academic program that supports and promotes the School’s mission and values. The School is a ministry of Santa Clara Catholic Church, and as such, the Principal reports to the Pastor and serves as his partner in the school community’s spiritual growth. The next principal of Santa Clara will enter an educational environment that is a diverse, loving community that views itself as family-close-knit, caring, and devoted to the School. They will find an engaged and supportive pastor who is experienced in working with parish school principals in this Diocese. Moreover, the next Principal will also find involved parents and dedicated faculty and staff, who are committed to the mission of school.

Applications are now being accepted. Minimum requirements include:

  1. Practicing Catholic

  2. Proficiency in speaking Spanish preferred

  3. Advanced degree in Educational Administration/Leadership or Principal Certification (may be in-progress)

  4. Five (5) years’ experience as a principal or assistant principal (Catholic school preferred).
