A graduate of Girls' Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Carolyn received her BS degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her MEd from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. With her strong people skills and administrative talents, she has devoted her career energies to enriching the school experience for both students and faculty. As Planning Coordinator at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Bethesda, MD Carolyn was instrumental in its start up activities.
Following St. Andrew's, she was appointed Director of Activities and Facilities at National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C. In 1984, she joined St. Andrew's-Sewanee School in Sewanee, TN as Director of Admissions. In 1990, when Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA embarked on its plan for coeducation, Carolyn was called upon to coordinate and implement the transition of girls into the school. She served as Assistant Head for Student Life in Episcopal for 7 years. In 2002, Carolyn was named Vice-President of The Education Group where, until 2008, she handled mid-level search activities for independent schools nationally. Prior to joining The Education Group, she was Executive Vice-President of Independent Educational Services (IES) from 1997-2002. She is re-joining The Education Group as an administrative placement coordinator for independent schools.
