Carolyn Miller, Vice-President
Carolyn is a graduate of Girls' Preparatory School in Chattanooga, TN. She holds a BS degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a MEd from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. With her strong people skills and
administrative talents, she has devoted her career energies to enriching
the school experience for both students and faculty. As Planning Coordinator
at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Bethesda, MD, Carolyn was instrumental in
its startup activities. Following St. Andrew's she was Director of
Activities and Facilities and a psychology teacher at National Cathedral School in Washington, DC.
In 1984, she joined St. Andrew's-Sewanee School in Sewanee, TN as
Director of Admissions. In 1990, when Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA
embarked on its plan for coeducation, Carolyn was called upon to coordinate
the transition of girls into the 152-year-old boys' school. She served for seven years as Assistant Head for Student Life. From 1997-2002, Carolyn was Executive Vice-President of Independent Educational Services, where she directed placement and middle-management searches. She continues to share her personnel expertise with independent schools in her role with The Education Group as Vice-President.
